Edit the site
Text, lists, buttons, photos, prices and SEO texts, found and changed by Claude. Each edit keeps its “before”, so it can be checked and undone.
For agencies and freelancers who build static sites
ClaudePress gives your clients one simple screen. They type what they want changed, Claude makes the edit and shows a before/after on the real page. Nothing goes live until someone presses Publish.
Free for one site. Open source under AGPL-3.0, self-host it for free.

Static sites are fast, safe and cheap to host. But your clients can’t touch them. So you spend your week changing opening hours, swapping photos and fixing prices for €0 an hour, and they wait days for a one-line edit.
How it works
“Replace the team photo”, “add the new menu”, “fix the price of the large cake”. Plain language, any page.
Every change is outlined on the real page, before and after, side by side, on desktop or mobile. A full preview is built with your site’s own build.
Editors send changes for approval. The site owner or your agency approves, or asks for a correction.
Publishing is a git commit, signed with the person’s name. Your host deploys it as usual. Every change can be undone.

Claude drafts a full blog post from a subject and a few notes. Your client polishes it in a simple editor with a live SEO checklist and a Google preview.
They describe the page they want. Claude turns it into a clear, structured brief for you to build. Better briefs, billable work.
Three roles: administrator, client who can publish, client who prepares changes for review. Notifications when something is waiting.
Connect GitHub through the ClaudePress app and pick the repositories it may see. Previews on a branch, publishing as a commit or a pull request.
Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, Firebase, Hostinger, GitHub Pages: ClaudePress commits, your host does the rest.

Static sites kept in a git repository on GitHub. ClaudePress learns how a site stores its content through adapters. The first one handles a JSON file of pages made of sections, rows, columns and blocks (the shape a WordPress/Divi export leaves). A Markdown adapter for Astro, Next.js, Hugo and Eleventy is next.
No code is ever touched. The assistant gets a small set of content tools: read a page, search, edit a text, list, button or photo, SEO texts, prices, or hand over to you. Every edit is checked against the live content, shown before/after, and nothing goes live until someone presses Publish. Every published change can be undone.
You paste a Claude API key from the Anthropic console. ClaudePress stores it encrypted and Anthropic bills you directly for what Claude uses. A typical edit costs a few cents. With an “AI included” plan, we pay instead, within the monthly credits of your plan, and you see the usage in the app.
1 credit = €0.001 of Claude at Anthropic’s published prices, with no markup on top. Every change shows the tokens Claude read and wrote and the credits they cost, so you can check the maths yourself. An edit uses about 100 credits on average; a long conversation or an article uses more. Your administrators get a notice at 80% of the month’s credits and when they run out. Credits reset on the 1st of each month, and you can add your own Claude key at any time to keep going.
The hosted version runs on Google Cloud in the EU. On the hosted plans ClaudePress keeps no copy of your site: it reads content files through the GitHub API, and preview builds are deleted when a change is published or discarded, or after 3 days.
